Elevator Requirements
- Construction of the elevator machine room with proper beams, slabs, equipped with a lock (previously not applicable for machine-room-less elevators), complete with illumination, ventilation – in order to keep room temperature between 5 and 40°C – and waterproofing.
- Access to the elevator machine room sufficient to allow passage of the control panel, traction machine and power unit plus ladder between floor level and machine level (previously not applicable for machine-room-less elevators) and suspension hook facilities.
- Finishing of the machine room floor with anti-slip materials and walls with anti-dust paint (optional) (not applicable for machine-room-less elevators).
- Finishing of the hoistway doors paint (when not requested by Mitsulift).
- Making good of the walls in the vicinity of the entrance hall after completion of the door frame installation.
- A clean, illuminated, waterproofed hoistway and pit. (The lighting should consist of 100 W covered light at regular intervals 2.5m with convenient MCB installed in the machine room for standard elevators and inside shaft at top floor level for machine-room-less elevators).
- Drilling and making good thereafter of holes for hall position indicator and hall call buttons.
- The cable connection (telephone, interphone, BMS, fire system) between building control room and elevator machine room or shaft must be provided by others based on Mitsulift and Equipments recommendations
- Finishing with sound absorbing materials of the machine room wall and/or ceiling, and provision of a soundproof door for the machine room entrance (optional).
